Xhaka looks all set to leave the Gunners.

He is set to meet up with former director Ivan Gazidis.

AC Milan are closing in on the signing of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, according to the latest reports. The Swiss international has not played for the Gunners since an altercation with fans during last month’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

It was confirmed by under pressure manager Unai Emery that Xhaka would not be part of the squad to face Leicester away from home over the weekend as the midfielder chose to rule himself out of the game.

And now reports in his native Switzerland state that the national team captain will be leaving north London in January to sign for AC Milan. RSI Sport declare that despite Xhaka stating he would remain at Arsenal after being stripped of the captaincy, the Swiss is already house hunting in Milan.

In addition, he plans get a move to the Rossoneri by using his relationship with Ivan Gazidis, who recently admitted they need to add more experience and leadership to a very young squad.

The Italian struggling giants are also reportedly keen on Xhaka’s Gunners teammate Lucas Torreira, with TMW stating that the Uruguayan is unhappy with his current situation under Emery.
