Hector Bellerin’s time at Arsenal is close to being over.
Mikel Arteta once again benched the Spaniard for Calum Chambers on Sunday night.
There is heavy speculation that Bellerin is headed for the Emirates door with PSG showing interest. Arsenal are reportedly demanding £35m for the defender who has fallen out of favour at North London.
“There is a chance Bellerin has played his last game for Arsenal,” he told Football Insider. “There is only four games left so it is possible he has played his last.
“Mikel Arteta can do whatever he wants with the team now that they are out of Europe. There is a chance, mathematically, of Arsenal finishing in the European spots. Whether that happens or not, you would put nothing past this team.
“Has Bellerin played his last game? Maybe. The club is at a crossroads. For the likes of Bellerin and Chambers time might be up.
“Arsenal have not qualified for the Champions League in five years. It is not good enough.”
Players sales will be one way to raise funds this summer. If Mikel Arteta stays on the job, reports state that he will be backed with player signings.
