Huss Fahmy is Arsenal’s head contract negotiator who will be ending his ties with the club after November.
Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar have taken over full control of Arsenal’s operations while Vinay Venkatesham fills in as managing director as well.
Fahmy joined the Gunners in 2017 as part of Dick Law’s negotiating team. He previously was the head of legal and commercial at Team Sky’s cycling team. He was primarily hired to put an end to Arsenal’s contract situation with players.
Not much changed after his arrival and he will leave Arsenal as part of a massive shakeup under the new regime. Almost everyone previously associated to the club has left and Fahmy is the latest name to make an exit.
It is believed that Fahmy’s reduced role has forced him to reconsider his position. He will be leaving on amicable terms and Arsenal are expected to replace him soon. Edu Gaspar will still be handling majority of the negotiations process but he will need to be assisted.
After all, the former Gunner’s player is not entirely a numbers guy. Raul Sanllehi and Huss Fahmy were the experts in that department. With plenty of recruitments coming up in the next transfer windows, Arsenal will need to have some experienced head behind their operations.
