Italian Journalist Claims Granit Xhaka Will 100% Leave Arsenal

Granit Xhaka is guaranteed to leave Arsenal in January, according to Corriere del Ticino journalist, Marcello Pelizzari.

It was reported this week that the midfielder is searching for residences in Milan in anticipation of a move in a couple of months. His fallout with the Arsenal fans seems to be beyond repair and the club would be open to the idea of their former captain leaving.

When asked about Xhaka’s relationship with Arsenal, Pelizzari said, “Unless a dramatic turnaround occurs, Xhaka will leave 100% of Arsenal in January. There was an interview given a few days by the player to Blick, the biggest Swiss newspaper, in which the player says he was really bad for the insults of the Gunners fans, who touched him on the staff, also bringing up the newborn baby and his wife. He motivated his strong reaction against the Crystal Palace so.”

When asked about the recent rumours surrounding Xhaka, the Italian journalist replied, “Right now, Xhaka on the table has various options. There has been talk of Newcastle, which would be a welcome solution because it can remain in the Premier League. Rumor has it that Borussia Dortmund is on the table, where he would find Favre, who launched him at the time of Borussia Monchengladbach.

“By attending the national meetings, however, we know that he loves Italy and Milan in particular. From what we have come to know, even from sources close to his entourage, Milan would be the company that is ahead in negotiations to take it away from London in January, also because Gazidis has known him since the Arsenal days. Even Inter could have done a survey for the player, but at the moment the Nerazzurri are colder than Milan on the player.”
