Juventus end interest in Thomas Partey after his latest injury

Thomas Partey’s latest setback force Juventus to end their pursuit.

The Ghanian midfielder was linked with a move away in the summer window when Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli made an offer for him.

He has endured a topsy-turvy situation since he joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid three years ago.

His fitness issues are slowly making him a liability due to extended spells on the sidelines.

Partey spent few weeks out with a groin injury in September and recently underwent an operation on his thigh that would keep him on the sidelines for several weeks.

His recurring injury setbacks has prevented him from featuring in the starting lineup which resulted in the lack of playing time.

The 30-year-old was expected to make a move in the winter transfer window but his recent injury setback could halt his January transfer.

Juventus were leading the charge to sign him but the Old Lady have cooled their interest due to his recent injury.

The Gunners will be in the market for a new defensive midfielder this January, so offloading Partey would be their utmost priority.
