Arsenal director Josh Kroenke has admitted the club have plans to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window.

The North London club are currently in the position to get the Champions League qualification as they find themselves fourth on the Premier League table. They are two points clear of Tottenham who they play next Thursday.

While talking at a recent Arsenal fans’ forum, Kroenke confirmed the club will provide Mikel Arteta with money to spend on transfers.

“We’ve got plans in place to continue to strengthen the squad,” Kroenke said, via football.london.

“Now having match day revenue and having fans back in the stadium has been great.

“We continue to provide whatever support we can for Mikel and continue to push the squad forward to achieve our goals.”

Kroenke also hailed supporters for sticking by Mikel Arteta after a shaky start.

“It’s been a rollercoaster of a season,” he added. “I say that with a smile on my face.

“To think back to where we were after three matches, Mikel and the team have done an amazing job stabilizing the ship. I wanna thank you guys for sticking with us through all the ups and downs.”
