Lauren Koscielny has hailed Aaron Ramsey’s professional attitude describing the player as a wonderful character.
Contract negotiations with Ramsey broke down and the Wales midfielder has reportedly signed a pre contract with Juventus which will see the player ending his 11 year long association in the summer.
Unai Emery reportedly intervened in the contract discussions and advised the club hierarchy not to extend his existing contract. The 28 year old hasn’t been the preferred choice in the middle of the park and Emery has so far used the player in a more advanced role.
Despite all the recent developments, the midfielder remains a loyal soldier for the North London giants and Koscielny hopes the player will give his all before leaving the Emirates in the summer.
“He shows great character every day in training and when he plays. He gives 100 per cent which I respect a lot.
“Sometimes players just think about themselves before the club, but he is a very good professional. He will give 100 per cent for the club until the end.”
The French international also added the Chelsea victory was very important for the club. “It was very important to win.
“It was a six-pointer. If you lose to Chelsea they are nine points in front of us, now we are three points behind. It’s still tight for the top four.
“When you win against a big opponent it’s very important for confidence. Our game was good with the commitment, team effort, and this is good for the next games.
“If you want to stay in the race we need to keep winning and not drop points. It’s important to keep this for the next few months.”
