Lucas Torreira unhappy with Emery

Lucas Torreira is unhappy with life under Unai Emery at Arsenal, according to his agent.

The centra midfielder has not been able to play under Emery as much as the deluded Arsenal coach prefers to stick with Granit Xhaka regardless of how bad the Swiss international is.

Even now, Emery’s dumbfounded tactics are so painfully slow and tedious that Torreira is not getting a look into the side. Instead Emery is focused on how best to lose his own job by playing wrong players and having zero tactical stability.

Hence, in such a situatio, the player is naturally unhappy and Torreira’s agent has hinted that the player does not like it.

Anything is possible in football,’ his agent Raffaele Bentancur told Radio Marte. ‘Torreira is happy at Arsenal, although the change in role has not made him happy.

‘It must be said that this year the whole team is not doing well. But I believe Arsenal wants to keep him.’

‘It is true, Napoli wanted him, but there was economic distance between their offer and Arsenal’s,’ Bentacur added. ‘Carlo Ancelotti personally tried to take him to Naples and if talks with Arsenal had broken down, he would’ve gone to Napoli.

However Arsenal was his choice, English football was more suited to his skills.” ‘Torreira felt bad about missing out on the move to Naples. Why? Because he is Uruguayan, and because he wants to close his career at Boca Juniors, and Napoli is very similar in atmosphere to Boca.’
