Mikel Arteta believes he needs to keep a lid on his emotions.

Recently Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was charged by the FA after rebuking the referee assistant for a foul that was not given on Mo Salah against Man City this Sunday.

He was sent off in that match and was later charged by FA for improper behaviour.

Mikel Arteta who is also known for his aggressiveness on the touchline also feels that managers at times need to keep their emotions in check.

‘We do have a responsibility, not only to the referees, but to the game and the way we want it to be played and respected,’ said the Gunners boss.

‘I have enough with my behaviour. I am trying to do the right thing for our club. It is very intense. It gets heated.

‘It is not easy to manage but we have a huge responsibility. If I have to watch myself on a camera after a match, there are probably things I would do differently.

‘It is something we have to learn. We are all conscious of it. Sometimes the heat of the game makes you behave in certain ways.’
