The Arsenal loanee is set to cut short his stay in Turkey.

He is now bound to move to Italy.

After a difficult year at Arsenal last season, Mohamed Elneny has tried his luck on loan at Besiktas which has been met with some success. The midfielder has impressed on loan at the Turkish side, to the extent that AC Milan are interested in acquiring his services.

During the summer, he supposedly proposed himself available for a move to thee Rossoneri and now the father of Mohamed Elneny has confirmed that his talks with AC Milan are “in an advanced stage” although nothing is concrete as of yet. 

“Negotiations between Mohamed and AC Milan are in an advanced phase,” Nasser Elnenly told Sada Al Balad. “But the contract has not been signed yet. They renewed their interest in my son, and the next hours could see him sign with AC Milan.”

After playing 89 games for Arsenal, he was loaned out to Besiktas in September 2019 and has played 17 times since he made the move. The 27-year-old appeared in all six of their Europa League matches this term. “Mohamed is doing well at Besiktas,” Nasser added. “But he wants to move to AC Milan to play in a stronger league.”
