Paris Saint-Germain Open To Letting French Midfielder Sign For Arsenal

According to the latest reports, Paris Saint-Germain are willing to let Christopher Nkunku leave for Arsenal this summer.

The Ligue 1 club faced inquiries during the January transfer window regarding the 21-year-old’s availability. Unai Emery had even come forward with a loan offer with an option to buy which, unfortunately, did not convince PSG to sanction a trade.

Arsenal have failed to meet their valuation of the player but a future compromise has not been ruled out by Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Nkunku, himself is unhappy with the amount of playing time he has received under the ex Borussia Dortmund boss. With more than half of the 2018/19 season over now, the France U21 international has failed to complete 1000 minutes on the pitch for PSG.

The report claims that Nkunku is keen on reuniting with the Spanish boss who gave him the chance to impress in the French capital. It was under Emery, that the versatile midfielder got to showcase his talents as a top midfield prospect.

Arsenal will be looking to make additions to their ranks this summer and have already set their sights on a few affordable talents. With a very modest budget for the upcoming transfer window, Emery could bring PSG around given that Nkunku has only one more season left in his current deal.

Tuchel might be forced to sell ahead of the 2019/20 campaign since the Frenchman has already refused to sign a contract extension just like Adrien Rabiot.
