Patrick Vieira will face his former club this weekend.

The Gunners have just lost once in their last eight Premier League games before the international break.

They will face Crystal Palace on Sunday as the Eagles are on high on conviction after thrashing Everton 4-0 in their last game.

After the club’s worst start in 67 years, Mikel Arteta has changed things around at Arsenal in the past few months.

Club legend and Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira credits Arteta for the turnaround in form at Arsenal.

Vieira said: ‘I’m not surprised about the way they [Arsenal] are playing and progressing.

‘I believe they have a good squad and good manager. Now they have a really clear understanding about how they want to play, are playing better football and have confidence. It’s going to be challenging for us but we’re in a really good period as well.’

‘I think he went through a difficult period and manged to keep his calm and cool and managed to return [resolve] the situation’, continued Vieira.

‘All credit to him and the work he’s been doing. The results he’s had lately have been really positive.’
