Although Thomas Partey prefers Juventus to Saudi Arabian teams, Arsenal may make an additional €10 million by selling him to the latter
According to Sky Sport Italia, Thomas Partey has approved the transfer to Juventus, which might happen for a sum of between €18 and €20 million. The Serie A team is prepared to extend a three-year contract to Partey, but they must first see how Adrien Rabiot’s situation plays out. At the end of the month, Rabiot’s contract will expire, although he is still considering an extension.
While Rabiot delays, Juventus management is considering Partey as a substitute. According to Fabrizio Romano, although there have been concrete Saudi proposals for Partey, they are still in the early phases. The player prioritises playing in Europe.
Al-Ahli Saudi FC, Al-Nassr FC, and Al-Khaleej are the three clubs apparently interested in Partey if he decides to move to Saudi Arabia. Al-Nassr and Al-Khaleej are said to be the more advanced of the Saudi trio, according to CBS Sports, but Al-Khaleej is only making an initial loan with a commitment to buy later.
Al-Nassr, on the other hand, are willing to pay €30 million in transfer fees to acquire Partey on a long-term basis, so it stands to reason that Arsenal would choose to work with them. Arsenal is looking to bring in many midfielders, including Declan Rice and Romeo Lavia, as potential replacements.
Moises Caicedo is also attracting interest, though there are contradictory rumours over whether or not the Gunners are still in the running. You’d imagine that the ability to reach a premium price for the sale of Partey would be a prerequisite for a genuine Arsenal bid for Caicedo.
