Ceballos spilled the beans about why he rejected Liverpool last summer and went to Arsenal instead.
“That a club like Liverpool loves you is a pride, but my decision was to go to Arsenal because Emery grabbed my hand and told me to go together,” he told Marca in Spain.
“Klopp is a great coach but you have to see the game philosophy of each team.”
Right now players of my philosophy of play in a team like Liverpool would not fit in the best possible way. But that you are related to the greats is because you are doing things right,” added Ceballos.
On why he finally went for Arsenal, he said:“Unai was key for me to be in Arsenal. I go out to play a club like Arsenal because, apart from being a giant, Unai practically comes to my house, to tell me that he loved football, that he has been in love with me since he played at Betis … A coach is key to get your maximum performance. Unai told me that it would be important with him in Arsenal and I had no doubt of going there,”
