Brazilian winger Willian signed a new contract with Fulham this summer.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea winger has signed a one-year contract after his deal with Fulham expired earlier this summer.

He made 27 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring five goals and registering six assists.

The veteran winger struggled after securing a free transfer to Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer of 2020.

But since returning to the Premier League with Fulham, he has been phenomenal and helped Fulham finish in the top-half of the table last season.

“When you look at Willian, things really didn’t go well for him at Arsenal,” said Warnock. “He didn’t enjoy Arsenal and then he went back to Brazil, and it didn’t work for him there.

“Then you come back to the Premier League and you think ‘that’s going to be too much of a challenge’. But he has looked exceptional. Some of the goals and the creativity. And he was the standout player in the game in Orlando the other day. He came onto the pitch and the levels of Fulham lifted.”
