Arsenal Linked With 2018 World Cup Sensation

Amongst a very expensive shortlist of wingers that Arsenal are targeting for the summer, Ismaila Sarr has popped up as a hidden gem and also a realistic target.

We all know about the restrictions Unai Emery will have to face in making further additions ahead of the 2019/20 season. The Spaniard was one the aggressive front last month, trying to poach Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.

It looked like the former Sevilla boss had even succeeded only to end up signing Denis Suarez from Barcelona on a short loan spell. With the top four race heating up, it is becoming even more evident which issues Emery will have to definitely address this next campaign.

Adding a defender should remain high on his list along with a quality winger. The Gunners are struggling with an overstocked midfield but no widemen to actually be effective from the flanks.

Sarr played for Ligue 1 outfit, Rennes and has 9 goals and 9 assists in 34 appearances this season. His contract with the French outfit is set to last till the summer of 2021.

Still only 20, the Senegal international managed to impress plenty with his exploits in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and during the Qualifiers leading up to the tournament in Russia.

He is currently valued at around £12.6m by the Daily Cannon which makes his potential entry into the Emirates even more attractive.
