Arsenal plan to offload Albert Sambi Lokonga permanently in the summer

Albert Sambi Lokonga joined Luton Town on loan for the 2023-24 season.

Arsenal are now making their plans clear ahead of the summer transfer window. They are now planning to part ways with Albert Sambi Lokonga. He is not in the plan of Mikel Arteta.

Lokonga made his arrival to the Emirates in the summer of 2021. The Belgium international had impressive outings in his first pre-season at the Gunners and was also a regular under Mikel Arteta in the 2021-22 season.

After the brilliant partnership of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka, he lost his place in the team. He had a loan spell at Crystal Palace but it did not reignite his career. The 24-year-old joined Luton Town on loan for the 2023-24 season.

He has made starts in each of their last six Premier League matches and recorded two assists in the process. He will come back to North London at the end of the season.

As per reports of Football Insider, Lokonga has no future at Emirates under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners want to offload him permanently ahead of the new season. They will entertain bids for the talented midfielder this summer.

The Belgian attacker made only 39 appearances for the North London club. He hasn’t scored a goal and found an assist.
