Arsenal reportedly sent out one of their scouts to watch AS Roma winger, Cengiz Under play this week.

The 21-year-old took to the pitch against FC Viktoria Plzeň and knocked in a goal at the 67th minute to keep his side in the game. He has already made 19 appearances for the Serie A side this season and contributed with 5 goals and 5 assists.

Under is one of the new age wingers with a quality left foot and immense pace under his boots. The Turkish man has caught the attention of quite a few clubs as Emery looks to battle it out for his signature.

The Gunners are in dire need of wingers after bidding adieu to Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain over the past two seasons. Alex Iwobi and a teenage Emile Smith Rowe can hardly be relied upon to spread the team’s width on the attacking front.

Arsenal are competing for a top-four Premier League spot and Emery might have to add more talents if he is to achieve his targets. The Spanish boss took charge of the Emirates last summer and has already made considerable improvements to the side.

Adding Under into the lineup will give Arsenal the extra limb to match the talent of top European sides. The winger’s contract with AS Roma is set to run till the summer of 2022 as his value keeps rising in the current market.
