Arsenal set their sights on Ajax‘s young defender Jorrel Hato

Arsenal considers Jorrel Hato as a long-term investment.

Arsenal are planning to improve its defense section and they have fixed their eyes on Ajax’s Jorrel Hato. According to the Telegraph, the Gunners are eyeing a potential transfer in the upcoming summer window.

The North London club is looking to secure his signature in 2024. If they fail to sign him in January then they will go for the summer option.

Mikel Arteta considers him as a long-term investment and his versatility could bring value to his side. He is only 17 years old and is one of the finest young defenders.

His contract with the Dutch club will expire in 2025. However, Ajax wants to extend his contract. The agreement hasn’t made yet. Arsenal can still take control of this signing.

The 17-year-old is a regular for Ajax in the Netherlands’ top flight and he also earned a spot in the national team. The Dutchman will see his market value rise due to his impact on the team.

Arsenal have a good relationship with Ajax as they earlier signed Jurrien Timber from the Dutch giants for up to €45 million. Hato has also expressed his dream of making a big transfer.
