Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has said that he could finish his career at Arsenal. Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013 and has played 207 matches from the club across all competitions so far. Ozil has scored 41 goals and has provided 72 assists.

He signed a contract extension in January which will keep him at the club till 2021. This season, the former Germany international has made 11 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing an assist.

When asked about finishing his career at Arsenal, Ozil said, “Why not? I am still young, I am 30. In football, everything is possible but I am really happy to play for a big club like Arsenal. I just enjoy it and I can imagine finishing my career at Arsenal.”

When asked at which age he may retire, Ozil replied, “Maybe aged 38!. No, really, I always think if I feel well, I could go on until I am 35 or 36, I don’t know. If everything is good, we’ll see.”

Ozil did not feature in Arsenal’s goalless draw against Sporting CP last night. However, he’ll probably start on Sunday when Arsenal play Wolverhampton Wanderers.
