Arsenal are interested in £50m striker Dominic Solanke.

The Gunners are in the market for a new centre-forward and have been linked with several names in this January transfer window.

They are in the race to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford but will likely face competition from both Chelsea and Tottenham for the striker’s signature.

Arsenal’s first-choice striker Gabriel Jesus is not considered someone who can deliver 20-25 goals in a season and the clubs needs a prolific striker to challenge for the title.

But Mikel Arteta is considering a few alternate options if they fail to strike a deal with Ivan Toney in January.

Dominic Solanke has been identified as an alternative target for Arsenal who signed a new contract with Bournemouth this summer until the summer of 2027.

The Cherries are expected to demand in excess of £45m for the striker who has proven instrumental for the club in the last few matches.

Solanke has already scored eight goals in the Premier League so far and was rewarded with a four-year contract in September.

But West Ham are also in the race for the 26-year-old striker, so it won’t be a straightforward task for the Gunners.
