Simon Jordan believes Arsenal forward is a mid-table player

Eddie Nketiah isn’t enough to win Arsenal the Premier League this season.

Mikel Arteta started both Jesus and Nketiah in the North London derby on Sunday night.

Both the strikers missed an opportunity to give Arsenal their deserved lead and they are four points off league leaders Manchester City after six games.

Ivan Toney has been prominently linked with a move to the Emirates in the January transfer window.

He has scored 32 goals in 66 Premier League games and would be a perfect fit for manager Mikel Arteta.

Nketiah’s conversion in front of goal has been dreadful and Jordan believes the player doesn’t deserve a place in the Arsenal lineup.

Jordan told talkSPORT: “I didn’t think Arsenal were particularly great yesterday, and I certainly don’t think Arsenal are one of the best sides in the world.

“They need top Premier League strikers to win this league. Nketiah is a decent player. He is a decent, mid-table Premier League-side player. But if you are going to try and win leagues, you’re going to need people who can score 20, 25 goals and they haven’t got them.

“I think he is a decent, mid-table player.”
