Arsenal Are Eyeing Up Move For Marcel Sabitzer

According to reports, Arsenal and Tottenham are gunning for the services of Marcel Sabitzer.

The RB Leipzig midfielder only has 18 months left on his contract.

That means, the German outfit is forced to consider selling option unless he signs a contract extension. Julian Nagelsmann has been pretty open about wanting to keep Sabitzer. He is an integral part of the team setup and one of the longest-serving members of the club.

However, at 26, the Austrian might be looking for greener pastures in England. Even last season he drew links to Arsenal following his masterclass of a performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.

Sabitzer has delivered with 6 goals in 18 appearances this season. The versatile midfielder converted from a traditional attacking midfielder to a more deeper creative role. Now, he almost has every skill in his bag to command the central spaces. Add to that his endless energy and tenacity to score goals, he would be a massive hit under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have been looking for more capable number eights since last season. Their pursuit of Houssem Auoar failed which makes Sabitzer a great alternative. He is more experienced, has still plenty of years to offer and could arrive for cheaper.
