Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has said that the Gunners have improved a lot in just two months.

This also happens to be exactly the time for which new boss Mikel Arteta has been in charge.

Was it a subtle dig at Emery? Well Ozil’s comments does it make crystal clear it was.

“It’s just two months that Mikel has been here, and we have improved a lot tactically,” Ozil said.

“Everyone knows … in which position they have to play or how (the manager) wants to attack or make a lot of pressure on the opposite team.

“We know it is a hard season for us but we want to win games to take the points to be maybe at the end of the season in the top four. Our goal is to be in the Champions League.”

Ozil, talking at Arsenal’s Dubai warm-weather training camp, said: “As a team, we are much happier and everyone wants to give everything for this club.

“Especially tactically we improve a lot and I hope in the future we will be more successful.”

Under Arteta, Ozil has become one of the better tactically smart players in the team.
