Manchester City officially joins Arsenal in pursuit of Declan Rice

Arsenal’s previous three bids for Declan Rice have been rejected by West Ham United.

The battle for Declan Rice is still going on. Man City are giving tough time to Arsenal to get the signature of the West Ham midfielder.

As per The Athletic, Manchester club have launched an opening proposal worth £80 million plus £10m in add-ons for the Englishman.

The 24-year-old is one of the best players in the world in his position, so it is no surprise that Rice is in high demand this summer.

The West Ham star will enter the final 12 months of his contract at the start of next season, although his club have the option to extend his stay by a year.

The Hammers are adamant they will not accept offers less than £100m for their captain so it is expected that they will knock back Man City’s opening bid, which falls £10m below their valuation.

Arsenal’s previous three bids have been rejected by West Ham United. The last bid was also worth £90m, although the payment structure was slightly different from Man City’s proposal.

Man City are also preparing a mega bid for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol. It can help Arsenal as Man City’s major investement will be gone there.
